Naming the Delaire Sunrise — the world’s largest square emerald-cut fancy vivid yellow diamond — was easy for Laurence Graff. After a year of cutting and polishing by hand, the 118.08-carat gem that remained reminded him of the gorgeous morning vistas at his South African Delaire Graff Estate. Now the estate has returned the favor by christening its first Champagne-style blend Delaire Graff Sunrise Brut. A mixture of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Franc, the pale yellow wine further pleases palates with hints of vanilla as well as notes of lime, fresh gooseberry, and grapefruit. The result is a zesty, fresh sip.

Laurence Graff first opened the doors to Delaire Graff Estate in 2009. Since then, it has become one of South Africa’s top art and hospitality destinations, in addition to being a state-of-the-art winery. Nestled in the Stellenbosch Valley, the establishment boasts two exceptional restaurants, tranquil lodging, an elegant spa, and two luxury boutiques. Artwork from Graff’s personal collection is on display throughout. The Delaire Graff Estate is now also the exclusive provider of Delaire Graff Sunrise Brut.
