The fragrant Indian vetiver plant (which has an earthy aroma and a hint of lemon) inspired Cartier’s unisex Eau de Cartier Vetiver Bleu, which was released in March. The latest addition to the Eau de Cartier collection combines vetiver’s smoky root essence with hints of cool mint, herbal essences, and licorice. Vetiver is a common ingredient in men’s cologne, and with Vetiver Bleu the fragrance takes center stage for a warm springtime scent with woody undertones. Other recent Eau de Cartier fragrances include Eau de Cartier Zeste de Soleil and Eau de Cartier Goutte de Rose, both released in 2013. The perfume comes in an elegant cylindrical flacon with a metal and transparent plate that subtly highlights the bottle’s neck.
