Master of ornate beauty Fabergé has played muse for a fabulous new fashion collection. British design house Ralph & Russo’s Autumn Winter 2015/2016 line captivates with elaborate and labor-intensive looks in the spirit of the world’s most famous eggs. “Armour-like tailleurs are encrusted with crystal and pearl mosaics,” effuses the label’s inspiration notes, “and dense ogival motifs adorn structured jackets wherefrom grand ovate forms shell out dramatically in the essence of a Fabergé egg.” Additionally embellished with mink tassels and ostrich feathers, the dresses, capes, coats, and jumpsuits are fit for the tsarinas Peter Carl Fabergé first catered to. Founded in 2007, Ralph & Russo — which has ateliers in London and Paris — opened its first retail boutique inside of Harrods in 2015.
