Last fall Chaumet took a bold step and created a pop-up installation of some of their most exquisite pieces at their Place Vendôme headquarters in Paris. Initially, the plan was for a temporary six-month show that explored Chaumet’s naturalistic themes. However, a second exhibit followed. “Une Éducation Sentimentale” which runs through Sept. 24 explores the role of jewelry in friendship and romance. Based on the enthusiastic response to these two exhibits, Chaumet has decided to make the museum a permanent fixture at their historical 18th century locale. Each exhibit explores a different aspect of the brand through historical sketches, photographs and jewelry from the house’s private collection. These exhibits are free to the public.
