One is sure to experience good dreams and a balm to the soul with a stay at the Amethyst Hotel. NL Architects of Amsterdam is proposing the luxury hotel line inspired by the enigmatic amethyst. The first location is scheduled for Ocean Flower, a man-made island currently under development north of Hainan, China. The firm plans to expand to other locations around the world, each one with a distinct shape, size, and form, but all with the amethyst theme. Often referred to as a cathedral, the architecture of the hotel will make use of this cathedral atmosphere with high ceilings and light.
