Van Cleef & Arpels is used to being a leader in the industry. In 1976, the maison became the first jeweler to release a fragrance, the aptly named First. Thirty-eight years later, the limited-edition First Edition Or is making a celebrated appearance on counters at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. Perfumer Natalie Gracia-Cetto delights with notes of vivid bergamot, jasmine, lily of the valley, and vanilla, among other scintillating ingredients, in this homage to precious gold, the symbol of light and the sun. The scent, retailing for $85 for 2.0 fl. oz., is available from now until December.
