There’s no recoiling from Boucheron’s Ricochet creations. Recalling the concentric lines formed when a stone skips over the water’s surface or the ripples left by rain drops, the innovative jewels wow with a combination of rock crystal and diamonds. Now the hypnotizing motif has been replicated in the designer’s new Joy de Lumière Ricochet timepiece. Resplendent in white gold, the highly stylized watch with Eastern influences features an astounding 290 round diamonds on its flexible bracelet, alone, while its dial and case are paved with another 150 stones. On this latest piece, rock crystal provides luminescent pools for the watch band’s gems to both sit in and surround. But the fanciful Joy de Lumière Ricochet is also functional: it’s water resistant up to 30 meters.
