Mikimoto recently opened a new shop in Tsim Sha Tsui, the heart of Hong Kong’s high end shopping district. The new boutique draws on Japan’s ancient Zen tradition with muted tones and soft shades of crème. The 2,105-square-foot store includes marble floors and elegant glass and brass display units with soft spotlights. Woven Nishijin-ori patterns adorn the walls, while the ceilings depict bits of Japanese historical art. The world famous Tsim Sha Tsui sits next to Hong Kong’s glittering harbor and is home to one of the world’s largest bazaars as well as a number of high end brands. The boutique is located at 1881 Heritage Street.
