BY JORDAN CLARY
For more than a century, Tiffany & Co. has redefined blue. The luxury house has even trademarked a particular shade of it “Tiffany Blue.” The exquisite wrapping that bundles every purchase, as well as shopping bags, advertising, and other promotional materials has become inseparable from the Tiffany name. And it’s the color so closely associated with the annual Blue Book collection. Every year since 1845, Tiffany has unveiled its most exquisite jewels. The Guggenheim Museum hosted this year’s unveiling, which was attended by the likes of Jessica Biel, Kate Bosworth, and Katie Holmes, among other society luminaries. The resplendent jewels in the 2014 Blue Book include a bejewelled firefly and a Jean Schlumberger fish bracelet. Feathers, butterflies, orchids and celestial bodies also made their appearance. Some pieces evoke the art deco era.
