Bulgari launched its new 1,800-square foot flagship in New Delhi’s DLF Emporium with an exclusive collaboration with Indian fashion designer Anamika Khanna. The new store marks the brand’s second entry into the country. In 2004, the luxury brand was a silent partner through stores in New Delhi and Mumbai, but it withdrew from the market three years ago and sought permission from the Indian government to open stand-alone stores. The approval to set up the single-brand retail store is through a joint venture with Luxco India Retail Pvt. Ltd. in New Delhi. The new store is in response to India’s growing demand for luxury timepieces and jewelry.
