Cartier’s new Drive de Cartier is an elegantly shaped wristwatch with a tapered profile that, in spite of its standard 11.5 mm thickness, gives the appearance of an ultra-slim model. As well as the cushion-shaped case, the watch employs other traditional Cartier motifs into its design such as Roman numerals, a guilloche inner dial and a railroad chapter ring. The guilloche center design is repeated on the outside of the chapter ring that in some models resembles a radiator grid in vintage automobiles. The Drive is a full collection that includes both a Fine Watchmaking version and a smaller complication model.
