Tiny flasks have been fashioned throughout history as vials for poison, perfume or magical potions. Today some brands are capitalizing on the link between fragrance and high jewelry by incorporating the miniature mysterious perfume flask into their jewelry lines for consumers who want to make a statement with tiny pieces. Chaumet’s perfume flasks tend to be ornate colored Czech glass with silver filigree. Bulgari’s are more simple streamlined vials, while Tiffany & Co. has featured a long line of perfume flask jewelry including Elsa Peretti’s bottle pendant in sterling silver and bejeweled pieces by Jean Schlumberger.
