The 1960s have returned in an array of glittering diamonds adorning a $55 million Graff lady’s wristwatch that debuted at this year’s Baselworld. The concept for the watch came from Laurence Graff, Chairman of Graff Diamonds and included many stones from his private collection. The scintillating masterpiece took thousands of hours to create and required the teamwork of Graff’s gemologists, designers and craftsmen. Heralded as “the most valuable watch ever created,” the aptly named wristwatch features a pink face surrounded by a kaleidoscope of rare colored 110 carat diamonds that seem to shimmer and change color in the light for a hypnotic effect. The timepiece is for sale and will be on display for the duration of Baselworld.
