The beauty of Harry Winston’s Project Z sports watches is that while each year’s model has unifying themes, each one is also distinctly different from the previous years’ editions. The Project Z9 comes in a 44.2 mm zalium case. Only Harry Winston uses this particular alloy of aluminum and zirconium to create large, lightweight cases that, due to their resistance to shock and abrasion, can be worn even in extreme weather. Its unusual gray color distinguishes it from gold, steel or titanium. The Project Z also comes with a flyback chronograph, a new self-winding caliber that can be reset with a push of the button. A grille effect enhances the date ring and skeletonized numerals.
