The Maison Laduree, well known for its exclusive and lavish desserts has collaborated with Mikimoto to create eight-piece box sets of creamy macarons, each decorated with a tiny nonpareil pearl. The bridal-inspired Spring 2015 collaboration includes pastel pink boxes that come with a pink ribbon and a Mikimoto pearl necklace. These make ideal favors for a luxury wedding. The rose macarons are flavored with lychee. The macarons and pearls will be for sale until May 31 at Laduree boutiques throughout Japan. They will be offered in other countries at different times in the coming months, including a launch in New York on April 24.
