Royalty, socialites, and screen legends — Van Cleef & Arpels has long been the jeweler of choice for icons. Now a sampling of the maison’s private collection of treasures previously owned, worn, and/or commissioned by notable names is on display at the Van Cleef & Arpels Stoleshnikov boutique. Stoleshnikov Lane is one of Moscow’s most luxurious shopping areas, but in no other store are patrons able to lay eyes on a 77.34-carat diamond tiara donned by Princess Grace of Monaco or a platinum, gold, pearl, and diamond powder case from the vault of Van Cleef muse Florence Jay Gould. Princess Faiza of Egypt’s Mystery Set Peony clip — dating back to 1937 — also wows in the exhibit with 60 carats of rubies and 30 carats of diamonds. These unique pieces and more are on view in the Stoleshnikov boutique gallery until March 10.
