Since the New York Times declared a renaissance of rose gold at the Biennale des Antiquaires last fall, the feminine alloy has enjoyed a strong comeback under the care of Paris-based Chaumet. On November 5, the Place Vendôme bijoutier announced a subtler reprise in form of the Liens Watch Collection. Understated in form, and accented with mineral indexes, the Liens Collection is best represented by the two pink gold adaptions that soften and balance the austerity of the design. Crafted with mother-of-pearl cabochons, and alligator leather straps, the time pieces represent the nexus of blushing elegance and subdued sheen of any family heirloom. On November 15, the Liens will compete with six other watches at “Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève” for the spot of 2013 Ladies’ Watch.
