Van Cleef & Arpels reworked its 2007 ballet-themed collection in time for the winter season, bringing together a 29-piece collection amorous enough to weather any manner of cold-weather blues. Taking visual cues from five main ballet productions, including “Swan Lake” and “The Nutcracker,” the collection employs a high-contrast pattern of emeralds, tsavorite garnets, and labis lazuli that leaves no doubts about its theatrical inspirations. The original collection was created in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the 1967 New York-staged ballet, “Jewels.”
